I wanted to write a quick post to thank everybody who helped make John The Greek a success in 2018. From the organisers of our weekly markets and festivals, our suppliers of equipment and foodstuffs and last but not least to all our wonderful customers who braved the elements for the Greek Souvlaki we lovingly prepared.
We have lots of events and markets lined up for this year too.
Please, Please, Please continue to call and write in with your questions about visiting Greece, experiencing the foods, our cultures and religion. We love to cook you our food, but promoting your enjoyment of our country means just us much to us.
The cake in the picture is a ‘Vasilipota’. A cake which we eat surrounded by our families and loved ones to mark the beginning of a new year. A coin is also inserted in the cake. Whoever’s slice has the coin is blessed with good luck for the year…:))
